Veterinarian

Dr. Katherine Neely grew up in the rustic high desert of Central Oregon where she first discovered her love of animals while helping raise and care for the livestock on her family’s small hobby farm. During junior high and high school, she was active in 4-H and was very competitive in showing Australian Shepherds and Golden Retrievers finishing numerous championships and obedience titles on her dogs.

During her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University, Dr. Neely participated in a research project involving small animal reproduction. In 2010 she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her bachelors degree and was able to pursue her lifelong goal of becoming a veterinarian when she entered Oregon State University’s college of Veterinary Medicine the following fall. Working in a small animal integrated medicine practice during summers and holidays while in college gave Dr. Neely the opportunity to learn how much she truly loved not only veterinary medicine, but also the personal relationships that are built on a day-to-day basis while helping clients care for their pets.

Dr. Neely joined Town and Country Animal Clinic in July of 2014. She has a special interest in small animal surgery, but enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine.

When she is not working, Dr. Neely enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves to be outside running, hiking, mountain biking and exploring her new home here in Brookings Oregon. Katherine and her husband are active in their church family and share their home with a gentle and sweet English Setter named Destiny along with a fun-loving blind cat named Sampson.
