Dr. Jessica Kadyk is from a small town in central Illinois. With a love for animals since childhood, she dreamed of becoming a vet one day. After getting her horse, Jasmine, her passion for large animals began to grow.
Dr. Jess earned her Associate in Science in 2015 before enlisting in the U.S. Army as a Transportation Management Coordinator.
During her deployment to Kuwait and Iraq In 2018, she volunteered with the U.S. Army Veterinary Core overseas and assisted in the care of Military Working Dogs, shelter medicine , and coalition missions with the Kuwait Equestrian Center. Her supportive efforts and training led to her promotion to Sergeant before completing her tour.
After returning home, Dr. Jess continued her pre-veterinary coursework at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and graduated with a Bachelor of Animal Sciences in 2019.
Upon her acceptance to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, Dr. Jess moved to the island of St. Kitts to begin her veterinary education. She then fulfilled her clinical rotations at Colorado State University and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2023.
She moved to Oregon and joined Town and Country Animal Clinic in October 2023 to practice as a mixed animal veterinarian with an enthusiasm for equine medicine. Dr. Jess resides with her husband, Nikolas, and their two cats, Miles and Salazar. As an outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys beach combing, hiking, and water activities in her personal time.
