Fear Free Certified Veterinarian
Dr. Alycia grew up in Brookings where her parents moved to open Town and Country Animal Clinic when she was 6 months old. She frequently helped out at the clinic growing up but did not decide to become a veterinarian until she was in high school. After graduating, Dr. Alycia moved to Corvallis Oregon where she completed her Bachelors in Animal Sciences in 2014. She then attended vet school at Oregon State University Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Alycia Graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Dr. Alycia moved back to Brookings shortly after graduation. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family as well as her dogs and cats.
Dr. Alycia became fear free certified because she believes it is important to make pets feel safe when they are at the vet. She believes that by using fear-free practices we are able to decrease the stress that pets feel when they come in for a vet visit. When pets have less stress and fear at the vet clinic it makes the visit a more positive experience for the pet, the client, and the vet.
